Revan and Fennell Mash House 12:05

At the Mash house, Revan and Fennell display a masterclass in double act chemistry, enthusiasm and quality sketch writing all displayed in a medium sized venue which was well attended, almost a full house. Like early Morecambe and Wise they are a tight unit they know each other’s actions and have clearly intensely rehearsed their sketches, which are based on popular cultural themes, the EastEnders actresses performing whilst being interrupted by the introduction of the live drumming end sequence was very funny, and the quantum physicist West Ham fans down the pub was a great sketch, my favourite was the sketch within a sketch retail scene where a shop assistant hounds a shopper but it turns out to be a training session was a tasty piece of satire, and another example of good writing. The hour flew by and the audience were delighted with these two performers who are destined to go on to bigger and better things, if I was to hear they were appearing at the palladium in a few years time I wouldn’t be surprised such is their talent.
